After 7 trips, she found water springing from the ground near baby Ismail's feet. This water became the well of Zamzam, which has never dried up since.

• The Prophet (PBUH) said: 'The best water on earth is Zamzam'
• It is a cure for whatever it is drunk for (with sincere intention and dua)

How to Collect Zamzam in Makkah

• Zamzam water coolers are available throughout the Haram (free, unlimited)
• Bring your own water bottle (or buy one near the Haram for SAR 5-10)
• Fill at the cooler stations, not from the taps near the Kaabah (those are for drinking only)
• Official Zamzam distribution center: Located near the Haram, provides sealed 5-liter and 10-liter containers
• Cost: SAR 10-20 per container (includes the bottle)
• Do NOT collect Zamzam in random plastic bottles for the return flight — airlines require official sealed containers

Airline Rules for Bringing Zamzam Home

• PIA: Allows 5-10 liters of Zamzam per pilgrim (in official sealed container, checked baggage)
• Saudia: Allows 10 liters per pilgrim (in official sealed container, checked baggage, free of charge)
• flydubai: Allows 5 liters in checked baggage (official sealed container)
• Emirates: Allows 5 liters in checked baggage (official sealed container)
• The container must be sealed with the official Zamzam label
• Do NOT carry Zamzam in carry-on luggage — it will be confiscated at security
• Declare Zamzam at check-in — airline staff will tag it separately

How to Identify Authentic Zamzam

• Authentic Zamzam is only available from official distribution points in Makkah
• Look for the official seal with the Saudi government Zamzam logo
• The container should be factory-sealed (not manually filled)
• Do NOT buy Zamzam from street vendors or unauthorized sellers
• Authentic Zamzam has no smell and a slightly alkaline taste
• If the water smells or tastes like regular tap water, it may not be authentic
